This exciting role offers opportunity to: Requirement:

• Lead the electrical design of new hardware products in collaboration with the product software and mechanical engineering teams
• Define product technical requirements and lead the design development from proof of concept feasibility through to prototyping and testing
• Develop circuit and drive architectures, generate and maintain schematic and layouts based on the architecture
• Select LED, driver electronics and battery management modules through tradeoff study and testing; guide design of LED boards.
• Develop and execute robust test plans as part of product/technology development
• Tracks projects progress and provides regular reports on operations and support activities. Champions peer-reviews for the group.
• Research, assess, and adapt new technologies necessary for the ongoing evolution of our products. Collaborate with a cross-disciplinary team to conceive and design innovative technologies.
• Monitor, support and participate in industry standards and governmental agencies as required. Work with internal and external stakeholders to drive key aspects of technology solution definition
• 10+ years of experience working on developing new products, using new technologies, and applying novel approaches to problem solving.
• Expertise in Analog and Digital Circuit design - experience with OpAmps, Filters, Signal conditioning circuits, Power supply design (AC-DC, DC-DC), mixed signal design
• Electronics experience in the following areas: SOCs, 16/32 bit microcontrollers, microprocessors
• Working knowledge of PCB fabrication and SMT processes with board design and validation experience. BLE 5.0 radio module design experience is desired.
• Communication protocols - SPI, I2C, UART and memory interfacing of Flash, EEPROM
• Experience with design & simulation tools: schematic capture, circuit simulation (LTSPICE, PSPICE), layout tools (ALTIUM), lab bring up and debug.
• Knowledge of signal/power integrity and experience with EMC/Safety compliance processes and requirements.
• Familiar with test equipment and methods with system-level integration experience
• Proven track record of taking ownership and driving results on technical projects
• Experience with Design for Six Sigma methogoligies (DFMA, etc) including design for reliability with HALT testing
• Proven experience with full-cycle product development experience from inception through maturity
• Hands-on experience with power supply and batteries technology
• Design for EMI/EMC and certification experience including troubleshooting and resolving EMI/EMC issues
• Experience with product certification, specifically UL, CE, FCC or equivalent certifications. Intrinsic safe circuit design (Zone-1) experience is preferred
• Processor peripheral interfaces (USB, I2C, SPI, microprocessor, high-speed serial interfaces)
• AC/DC power supplies, low voltage analog signal design, Ethernet, BLE, Wifi, Zigbee

QualificationsRequirement:

• Bachelors or Master s degree in Electrical/Electronics engineering, preferably from an accredited institution
• Min 10 years experience in Hardware product design, development and testing / NPI.
• Sound technical knowledge and experience in design and development of components like LED array board, Driver sizing and Battery management module sizing, etc. Solid understanding of LED lighting and controls
• Strong analog circuit design experience with micro-controllers including memory and communication
• Should have good knowledge on different product design tools environment like Altium, PSPICE, LTSPICE & SAP
• Analytical skills must include understanding component design/ selection, reliability, component fits and Design calculations.
• Should be proficient with Six Sigma, DFMEA, DFMA, UL certification, DVPnR, EOL testing and Agile ProLaunch
• Experience must include hands on experience with design of products from requirement capturing to commercialization including and not limited to part detailing and designing, component and material selection, drawing creation (wiring diagram, block diagram and layout) , prototyping and validation
• Proven track record of successful product launches and intellectual property generation.
