Background The Corporate Data team is responsible for the design, build out and management of data integration and delivery solutions supporting a broad range of internal and external stakeholders. Some of the capabilities the team rolls out include data ingestion, data integration, master data management and providing corporate data across the enterprise. These capabilities are provided for areas such as Financials, Regulatory & Statutory reporting, Risk, HR, Product and Client. A key part of the Corporate Data group is the offshore team based in Pune. As part of Northern s workforce strategy the Pune team continues to grow and take on increasing responsibilities. Job Description
  • We are looking for a seasoned manager with deep data analytics expertise to lead the team and to be the primary point of contact for Chicago based business and IT.
  • This is a leadership role focused on data and analytics for Financial Services. We are looking for an experienced hands-on manager to lead the offshore team. This is a senior management facing role with a team that will grow to 20+ reports. The resource will be responsible for partnering with multiple IT stakeholders to support their analytics needs, help with roadmaps, manage project delivery & engagement, as well as help manage rollouts and ongoing support of analytics solutions.
  • This manager will need to be highly collaborative and work with multiple technical delivery and infrastructure teams spread across the globe.
  • This manager will also be responsible for India hiring, resource management and training needs.
Knowledge/Skills
  • Application management and offshore delivery experience for complex data and analytics solutions
  • Proven resource management and Agile project management abilities
  • In-depth knowledge of Banking and Financial Services
  • Excellent communication and client facing skills
  • Experience with various database types (e.g. DB2, SQL Server, Oracle, Access, Hadoop, Mongo, etc ) and various data modeling activities
  • Big data and data warehouse solutions. DevOps on-premise and on cloud.
  • Hands- on experience with multiple ETL tools like InfoSphere Datastage, Informatica, talend
  • Experience in developing data ingestion, data processing and analytical pipelines for relational, columnar, MPP, NoSQL databases
  • Experience with cloud data services, Azure preferred
  • Deep expertise in handling Data exchange through secure on-prem and Cloud based REST API s
  • Experience and understanding of programming languages like Python or R for use with Data Analytics
  • Bachelor s degree in computer science or a related discipline
  • Exposure with IBM Cognos, Power BI or similar Analytics tools will be an added advantage
  • Major Duties
  • Manage and grow the Corporate Data offshore team
  • Drive Corporate Data projects and agile transformation
  • Provide hands on technology leadership
  • Ownership of all offshore deliverables, timelines, budgets
  • Represent Corporate Data team in steer and program meetings
  • Provide technical expertise to and partner with other technical delivery teams
  • Help with team vision, roadmap and prioritization
  • Technical design and architecture
  • Act as a liaison to onsite product teams
  • Help support & optimize BAU processes
