Within the Network & Enterprise Voice team there is an opening for a Network SME.PURPOSE OF ROLE: SOE delivers IT infrastructure and application services to Maersk brands. Within the Network & Enterprise Voice team there is an opening for a Network SME.The technical SME will be responsible for the following (note this list is not exhaustive): 3rd/4th level technical support for complex incidents. Coaching/training of junior technical staff. Ensure reason for outages are fully understood Drive technical problem management activities Where required help educate third party supplier technical resources to facilitate long term incident management improvements HLD and LLD design reviews and approvals Ensure the environment remains standard and in line with HLD s and LLD s Deliver and support Change Management activities Ensure received services are fit for purpose, complete with relevant technical artefacts and SOP s. Participate and provide technical expertise during CAB meetings Investigate current environment to ensure appropriate configurations have been applied and that redundancy is adequate for business need. Ensure Release Management processes are in place and effective Release Management is delivered. Ensure technical SOP s, design diagrams and reference architecture are complete and in one place for all elements of the Network environment. Assist architecture and engineering where necessary in design and build activities and challenge where necessary from a technical perspective. Look for opportunities to improve the technical environment to improve availability Ensure Maersk are getting maximum value out of our current technical environment Where appropriate seek new technical solutions for automation and self-service. Deliver tooling and monitoring enhancements. Compliance review to technical security standards and policy. Maintaining documentation and improving the organization s retained knowledge Evaluating new technologies/trends and recommending changes. Trialling of agreed/approved new technologies Liaising with project teams to help deliver on-time with a minimum of friction.Alongside the above, the following represent standard requirements within the role:Process Management Work to SOE Service Request governance processes. On boarding business & IT initiated projects into operations. Leading and developing offshore IT personnel Managing change effectively and without incident Driving continuous quality improvement for own and related areas Maintaining documentation and improving the organization s retained knowledge Ensuring reporting and documentation is completed as required by organisation s standards e.g. security incident reporting Compliance review to technical security standards and policy. Actively participate in Continual Service ImprovementShow More We are looking forEssential Criteria 8+ years of in-depth of Networking LAN, WAN & WLAN technical knowledge. Key technical skills should include a deep understanding of many of the following; Cisco WAN/LAN/WLAN technologies, HP & Aruba LAN/WLAN technologies, DNS, Infoblox DHCP and IPAM, Packet capturing and interpretation, VPNs, QoS, Windows server, Linux, VMware Familiar with Cisco DNA/Aruba Central and Software Defined Networking Strong knowledge of network management tools such as Solarwinds, Cisco Prime, Cisco DNA, Aruba Airwave, Cisco ISE and/or Aruba Clearpass, Infoblox IPAM & NetMRI Deep knowledge and experience of planning/deploying/managing wireless networks. Ability to create and evaluate predictive surveys (Aruba Airwave/Cisco Prime, Ekahau or Airmagnet software) and APoS survey experience would be beneficial Must have experience or show a keen desire to automate LAN and WLAN deployment and orchestrating changes using scripting A talent and desire to do high quality network documentation using Visio is required Certifications in Cisco and HP Aruba technologies would be beneficial Strong Office suite skills Word/Excel required Excellent English spoken & written Good communication and interpersonal skill, able to build good working relationships Self-Initiative and analytical / problem solving skills Result-driven with persistence and consistency towards the solution of challenges.
