• Install, Configure, and Maintain SQL Server (versions 2008 and newer) in development, test, and production environment
• Configure and Maintain Fail-Over Clustering
• Experience in AlwaysOn environment
• Maintain server and database security including database encryption (TE).
• Install and Configure SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)
• Upgrade/Migrate SQL Server Instances/Databases from older versions of SQL Server to newer version of SQL Server
• Migrate MS Access Databases into MS SQL Server
• Apply Service Packs/Hot Fixes on SQL Server Instances to address security and performance related issues
• Perform database and SQL/T-SQL performance tuning
• Write SQL/T-SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and triggers
• Schedule jobs and maintenance plans for database tasks including backup, monitoring database health, disk space, index rebuilds and backup verification
• Create and manage different types of Indexes (Cluster/Non-Cluster), Constraints (Unique/Check)
• Deploy SSIS packages to move data, logins and load data from other sources.
• Setup jobs from SSIS packages
• Develop, test & implement a robust database backup and recovery strategy.
• Restore and deploy databases (including point-in-time recovery)
• Configure database software, associated database tools and performance monitoring software
• Implement & manage database clustering, failover and load balance technologies as per client requirement
• Monitor data activities such as database status, logs, space utilization, extents, Checkpoints, locks, and long transactions.
• Suggest Application level tuning changes for code, queries, SQL objects that may not be performing up to the optimum database performance standards.
• Adhered to Change Control Procedures and developed & executed scripted changes requests in accordance with change control procedures
• Set up security and access profiles and procedures for database system administrators
• Handle logical data and index partitioning for large tables.
• Export & Import data from Flat file, CSV file, Oracle, and Access to/from SQL Server Database using DTS, SSIS, and BCP
• Confident and professional with excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
