The person is a source of knowledge and technicalexpertise for the Perimeter Operations service.Aim of Perimeter Operations engineering is to ensure that thefirewall, proxy and security appliance elements of the networkinfrastructure are effectively and efficiently maintained and BAUoperated to provide a high performing and secure infrastructureto customers and business units.Show More Key responsibilitiesImplementation of Perimeter day-to-day operations toensure that business demands (effectiveness, cost-efficiency,stability and availability) are met Operating the day-to-day monitoring of the services.Initiating troubleshooting and corrective actions asnecessary. Investigate, isolate, and resolve perimeter infrastructure andnetwork errors autonomously or with the support of other ITstaff and/vendors with minimal down time. Implementing the organisation s IT policies and procedures Implement back-up and recovery procedures and planswithin area of responsibility. Working with project teams to help them deliver on-timewith a minimum of friction. On boarding business & ITinitiated projects into operations. Supporting and developing other Perimeter Ops personnel Managing change effectively and without incident Driving continuous quality improvement for own and relatedareas Maintaining documentation and improving the organization sretained knowledge Ensuring reporting and documentation is completed asrequired by organisation s standards e.g. incident andproblem reporting Compliance review to technical security standards andpolicy. Evaluating incident and request helpdesk tickets andrecommending improvements to improve effectiveness andefficiency of responses.Show More We are looking forA minimum of 2 years of IT network security supportexperience including Cloud and SaaS technologies General experience of implementing new distributedenterprise applications, internet and web technologies General experience with outsourced environments, complexmulti-country organisations and vendor management. Good experience with IT Service Management (preferably acertification in ITIL).Technicalskills/Personal Key technical skills should include a deep understanding ofvery many of the following; Firewalls especially Checkpointand ASA, Cisco route/switch products, VPNs, MicrosoftAzure, Zscaler, Windows server, Linux, VMware Strong Office suite skills Word/Excel - required A talent and desire to do high quality network documentationusing Visio is required Development or scripting experience is well regarded: Webdev & good PowerShell preferred Good understanding of TCP/IP stack Excellent English clear spoken & written Good communication and interpersonal skill, able to buildgood working relationships with peers and team leads Self-Initiative and analytical / problem solving skills Result-driven with persistence and consistency towards thesolution of challenges. Strong customer service focus. Good business understanding and ability to communicateconfidently with incident and engineering management.
