Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Write test data scripts, based on ETL mapping artifacts
  • Execute data scripts and detailed analysis on the scripts
  • Create strategies and test cases for applications that use ETL components
  • Should have hands-on experience on performing data analysis for ETL projects
  • Execute formal test plans to ensure the delivery of data related projects
  • Define and track quality assurance metrics such as defects, defect counts, test results and test status
  • Document all problems and assist in their resolution
Skills:
  • 4-6 years of relevant work experience testing backend, focusing on complex SQL queries
  • Expert in analyzing ETL mapping documents and should be able to convert them into test cases
  • Create and execute test cases and SQL scripts based on ETL mapping documents
  • Hands on experience in data reconciliation between source and target systems along with reporting of issues to relevant stakeholders
  • Expert in Database testing with excellent SQL skills and queries
  • Prior experience of having worked in Waterfall/Agile Projects
  • Experience testing mission critical Financial Applications
  • Hands on experience in relational databases and database architecture like SQL Server, Oracle
  • Hands on experience interpreting and understanding data models and ER diagrams
  • Hands on experience in working with MSBI projects (SSIS, SSRS)
  • Hands-on experience of using industry standard test management and defect tracking tools like JIRA, TFS etc.
  • Strong understanding of defect lifecycle and should be able to apply this knowledge to assign and track defects
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Should have prior experience of working in an Onshore-Offshore model and client handling skills
