Position Overview
We are seeking an outstanding Python Developer to join our ESG Application Development team in the Mumbai office. As part of a global team the candidate will need to develop productive working relationships with a geographically distributed team. MSCI ESG Research provides in - depth research, ratings and analysis of the environmental, social and governance - related business practices of thousands of companies worldwide. The ESG Application Development team supports the delivery platform for ESG Research clients and the internal production platform used by 120 analysts and researchers.
Scope of ResponsibilityDeliver new functionality for the internal production platform and the client delivery platform for the ESG Business.
Closely collaborate with Product Management, Quality Assurance, Data Operation and IT Infrastructure on all stages of software development life cycle.
Specific Knowledge/Skills3+ years of overall software development experience with python programming experience.
Solid understanding of object - oriented design patterns, data structures, algorithms, concurrency/multithreading, distributed processing etc.
Experience creating and consuming RESTful micro servicesExperience with software engineering tools like Maven, Jenkins, Git
Experience with containerization example DockerFix bugs and solve problems, write documentation and automated tests
Work closely with, brainstorm ideas and incorporate feedback from, the engineering team, product management and QA.
Strong knowledge of relational databases and SQL Fair Knowledge of MongoDB or any NoSQL Desired Experience1 + years of experience as python developer.
Desired QualificationsMasters or B.Tech in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering or related field.
