Job Description

Quality needs to be built into our daily work and we need to make a shift from reactive to preventive mode. This is done by incorporating quality into our daily processes and by facilitating customer centric continuous improvement.As a Quality Specialist you are responsible for managing and continuously improving unit s quality performance in line with the Unit and KONE level targets. You will support our China/India teamto build Quality into daily practices, processes and develop proactive Quality culture and mindset.This position is based in Pune, but you will be working in global environment where your quality team members are located in Finland, China/India and USA. You will be part of Digital Services Quality Team and will report to Head of Quality, Digital Services.Experience of Agile, Lean and DevOps ways-of-working is required. You are expected to drive proactive built-in quality, with positive mindset together with our experts. You need solid experience on how to shift from reactive to proactive and preventative mode in quality development. Practical hands on experience on how to support teams is needed to build quality into daily work. Good interpersonal and social skills are a definite asset to get things done. Experience in agile software engineering and SW process (e.g. working as scrum master) in cloud-based systems is appreciated as also experience in agile software testing & test management. We expect you to have a solid experience in relevant roles and responsibilities for over 7 years. Your role is to help our Tribes to succeed.Main responsibilities

  • Promoting and developing proactive Quality culture, actively communicating the importance of Quality and engaging the organization.
  • Representing the voice of the customer and using that to build motivation for continuous improvement.
  • Facilitating the execution of Digital Services Quality roadmap and operative plans in your area.
  • Driving continual learning and competence development of the unit.
  • Driving continuous improvement within teams and unit together with our experts.
  • Facilitating problem solving and root cause analysis.
  • Gathering and analyzing quality data for evidence-based decision making.
  • Ensuring hardware & software quality attributes are considered.
  • Driving 3rd party providers & partners deliverables quality.
  • Supporting end to end quality in co-operation with other KONE units.
  • Enforcing proactive release quality by facilitating quality & testing gate reviews.
In order to be successful in this role,
  • Knowledge on how to combine traditional HW quality with SW quality is needed.
  • You have B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree in engineering or equivalent, combined with quality leadership, program, project or team leadership and building experience.
  • Experience of working in an international, multicultural environment and with external partners using English as a working language is a must.
  • Six Sigma certificate (Green Belt or Black Belt) or equal competences/experience is a benefit.
  • Practical knowledge from ISO9001, ISO 14001 certification and auditing experience is a benefit.
