Job Description

R Developer

Software DevOps Pune, Maharashtra

Description We are seeking a R Language Developer to join our Microsoft Solutions Team at India (Pune) Development Center. In this role, you will develop and implement technological solutions for clients on the R Language/.NET stack. Your job is to provide hands-on development expertise and technical abilities to deliver quality software solutions. If you are a technology expert, with a desire to provide potential customers with the best customer experience, this is the right challenge for you. Job Responsibilities:
  • Developing and maintaining our core R packages, including new feature design, comprehensive testing, and documentation
  • Hosting the developed R Scripts/packages either on Shiny or on MS Azure
  • Frame specifications based on high level understanding of the problem statement and develop the code.
  • Develop, write and implement software programming applications following established architecture standards as well as software development and project management methodologies.
  • Implementing low level solutions for business problems.
  • Write high quality code using the guidelines and effectively debug the code.
  • Document the code changes, package the code, and unit test it.
  • Perform code review of junior members.
  • Perform the task assigned and implement a solution.
  • Work with the application development team in delivering the project and deliverables within time and good quality.
  • Assess requirements for new and enhanced functionalities; identify impact on existing applications, operating systems, hardware and networks.
  • Perform unit testing, ensure quality assurance of applications through system testing.
  • Keep up-to date with latest technologies, trends and provides inputs/recommendations to project manager or the architect as required.
  • Coordinate and communicate with the other tracks and disciplines involved in the project.
  • Should be able to communicate directly with end customer.
Candidate Profile:
  • Education: B.E. / B.Tech / MCA / MCS
  • Experience: Overall 4 to 7 years of experience in R Language and .NET Technologies.
  • Knowledge and Skills:
  • Expert-level skills in R, including experience delivering code that others rely on to do their work. Prior experience creating and maintaining R packages is highly valued.
  • Working knowledge of .NET Technologies such as .NET Core, Web API, C#
  • Working knowledge of Object-Oriented Principles.
  • experience in SQL Server.
  • experience in MVC and Entity Framework.
  • Working knowledge of WCF, LINQ, Entity Framework and Web Services.
  • Experience in developing and delivering solutions utilizing Service Oriented Architecture.
  • Experience in a data science, such as social science, market research, or data visualization, is a plus
  • Understanding of modern development methodologies and tools including Agile (XP and Scrum), Rapid Application Development, etc.
  • Excellent Communication, presentation, problem-solving and team working skills.
