Job Description

*DescriptionRAS System Engineer will need to work independently on RTU/SCADA & Flow Computer based projects in coordination with FSO Lead Engineer and his line Manager / Lead Engineer. The candidate will work on ControlWave series hybrid PLC/RTU, OpenEnterprise SCADA platform, newly acquired OSI Monarch Platform, Emerson s next generation flow computers and RTUs along with other flow Computers such as S600+, FB107 etc. to deliver technical requirements in line with defined engineering processes. The candidate will offer value added services to FSO (Best Engineering Practices, Offering Optimization in Engineering etc.)Responsibilities

  • DutiesTaskWork AllocationExecute & Lead small to medium size projects independently. Work as individual contributor under guidance of Lead Engineer on Large & Strategic Projects.Lead specific part of the Large & Strategic ProjectsTeam DevelopmentDevelop Back up resourceDevelop New Training modules specific to work Arrange Knowledge Sharing & Learning Sessions within teamWork as coach/mentor with individual resource to achieve targets Identify weak links in team & define improvement planDefine the best practice within team & implementOffer timely suggestions in enhancement of Departmental Engineering & Quality Processes.FeedbackIdentify Gaps & take corrective actions against feedbackQualityReview Deliverables for Quality & Accuracy with Peers & Lead.Understand and follow tracking mechanism to ensure Quality ( Peer Review, Checklist)Monitor Compliance to process/TargetsMaintain QMS system for defects, rework & other indicatorsMonitoring & ControlComplete given project task in given budget.Adherence to Project Schedule.Adherence to Departmental process Weekly Project Reporting to FSO and Daily Reporting to Lead / Line Manager.ComplianceAccurate Work tracking Update on weekly basis.Accurate Timesheet posting on weekly basis.Drive Departmental InitiativesAdapt and Foster Innovation as Culture and Core Value.Ideate and Develop Engineering Utilities to reduce manual work.Identify Gaps in Product and raise Product Enhancement IdeasIdentify Risks to supervisor & present Mitigation PlanImprove productivityCommunicationWeekly Team Meeting to review Action Points/ProgressCommunicate with FSO (Engineering Team) to resolve conflictsBuild FSO Reputation and Confidence as an Individual Regular meeting with supervisor to report progress on task defined under various dutiesTimely Escalations to supervisorTechnicalFunctionsMap individual competency & define a plan to improveBuild Technical KnowledgebaseConduct Job specific trainingCome up with Optimization InitiativesBuild New Technical CompetencyStandardization (Templates)Build Domain Knowledge (Oil & Gas, Well Head, Regional market requirements etc.)
, *RequirementsREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
  • Engineering degree & equivalent work experience
  • Minimum of 3-6 years related end to end project execution, including site commissioning in Oil and Gas Production, Pipeline Transportation & Distribution or Terminals Domain.
  • Exposure to Design Documentation, Test Specifications and Cabinet Design.
  • Exposure to SQL or any other equivalent Database package.
  • High Level Programming Languages such as C#, .Net or VBA would be an added advantage.
  • Must have outstanding ability to work with people at all levels and must be a team player
  • Proficient in MS Word and Excel.
  • Proficient English language skills (verbal and written) local language skills a strong asset
