Job Description

• Responsible for implementing strategies around Test Automation using PiL across Electrical & Industrial segments with strong focus on system validation Automation and new product development with strong focus on, system test coverage, compliance & industry standards.
• Provides Technical leadership in establishing the test automation strategies and streamlining the development processes by coordinating with teams from Eaton India Innovation Centre (Pune) and various Divisions/facilities in North America, EMEA, APAC. Develops Test Automation teams.
• Contribute to the test automation, Software/ communication protocols validations by ensuring quality and robustness of the products.
• Trains, develops and motivates subordinates to achieve their professional goals and review their accomplishments.
• Understand customer requirements and communicate them to other Eaton teams, and act as the liaison for program activities as appropriate.
• Provides expert resolution of issues and monitors integration of work.
• Review technical concepts of projects including equipment specification and design
• Synergies and leverages engineering capabilities across groups.
• Champions continuous process improvements to support the Eaton Business System; DMAIC / DFSS.
QualificationsRequirement
• BE - Electronics /Automotive /Computer Science
• 6-8yrs , Test Automation
• Verification/validation experience in Automotive domain
• Understanding of SDLC/STLC
• Experience on Unit, Integration, System testing.
• Experience in setting up PIL test systems using Software toolchains
• Experience in manual & automation testing for embedded controls products
• Strong experience in Unit Testing PIL SW Toolchains VectorCAST C++ tool/VectorCAST QA tool, Green hills Multi debugger
• Experience in MATLAB/Simulink tool - Model understanding, Code generation from Model
• Knowledge of ClearCase, ClearQuest, JAZZ development tools
• Execute tests, document test results and managing defect lifecycle
• Responsible for design of test procedures, automation scripts
• Perform Failures Analysis, Coverage Analysis on test results, good debugging skills
• Knowledge on coverage types- statement, branch, mcdc
• Experience in Requirement analysis, architecture, design & Test script reviews and requirement based testing of ASW (application software)
• Sound Knowledge and experience with process frameworks (e.g CMMI) including requirements management, defect tracking, build management, change management, and configuration management tools
• Experience on CI/CD using Jenkins tool
• Strong written, oral communication and interpersonal skills experience working in International teams is highly recommended
• Experience collaborating with local / global suppliers for Hardware/Software procurement, building test lab setups etc.
• System and Software reviews, FMEA.
• Bachelor s degree in Electronics /Automotive /Computer Science engineering
• Experience working with CANape, CANalyzer
• Strong Knowledge of scripting languages like Python, VBA, m-scripting
• Basic knowledge on C/C++ language
• Knowledge on Communication protocols- CAN/ J1939/ CCP/ XCP
• Hands on experience with Emulators and simulators.
• Experience on BSW testing.
