Job Description

  • Designing, developing, and maintaining REST API s
  • Building User Management systems
  • Building Subscription Management systems
  • Building Customer Portals
  • Database Design and Optimization
  • Third Party Integrations (Stripe, Paypal, Cloudflare, DigitalOcean, etc)
  • Build for scale, availability, performance and security across the stack
  • Interact and collaborate with others to meet deadlines, to bring your feature to life
  • Set up automated test cases to ensure our stringent quality standards are met
  • Interact with our customer support staff, trying to get to the heart of whats working and whats not
  • Take pride in writing scalable, modular, and high quality code
  • Adopt new technologies, suggest recommendations, and positively influence the direction of product development
Position Requirements:
  • At least 5 years of backend Ruby on Rails development experience
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Ruby, Rails, REST API s
  • Experience in building secure, scalable, reliable, and high-performance web applications
  • Strong understanding of designing, building, and maintaining systems at scale
  • Strong understanding of RDBMS (like MySQL), including database schema design and ability to write efficient SQL queries
  • Experience with CI/CD and deployment, with ability to implement where missing
  • A passion for writing high quality code and upholding best practices in engineering, security, and design
  • A belief that code must be well-tested, code reviewed, and checked-in regularly
  • Experience integrating with third party platforms such as Stripe, Paypal, and Cloudflare
  • Proactive. Will follow up when things dont get resolved
