Job Description

RESPONSIBILITIES

    Work closely with the Game Designer and Producer to create beautiful visual concepts and ideas which will drive the visual identity of the game Define style guides, and coordinate in their creation when required Effectively design character expressions and animation key frames with minimal supervision, taking ownership of quality and completion of creative content using tools and design software. Analyze real-time feedback, analytics in a constructive manner with logical and reasoned suggestions/solutions to improve on designs Create front view/side view snapshots of characters to create 3D models Pitch new ideas to the team and hold brainstorming sessions Mentor, coordinate and evaluate the work results delivered by the art team Deep awareness of the competitive market place and target audience. Break-down design goals into smaller technical tasks. Stay current on customer queries from support and marketing channels Stay current on industry trends including new game genres, game art best practices, and emerging technology.
REQUIREMENTS
    5+ years of experience as a Concept Artist Expertise in Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash or other 2D animation tools Ability to communicate visually with quick sketching ability along with drawing and painting skills Ability to create a variety of art styles from cartoon to more realistic with capability to ideate whimsical, fantasy themed, architectural illustrations Excellent design skills, including the effective use of color, form, lighting and composition An excellent team player with good communication and organization skills who demonstrates pride and responsibility in your work and modest and respectful when getting feedback. Ability to translate concept art into production level art in Maya/3DS Max is an add-on Demonstrate passion for playing games and social networking A portfolio showing your talent and flexibility Familiarity with Adobe Flash is a strong bonus Degree in Game Art or related field Architectural background preferred,
