This exciting role offers opportunity to:
• This position is responsible for executing concept generation & development projects for a research portfolio for Vehicle segment meeting project requirements and timelines. Responsible for developing technical proposals in consultation with Lead Engineers, Subject Matter Experts.
• Responsible to study latest market drivers, technology trends. Learn and apply DFSS tools, design analysis methods and concept verification calculations per engineering principles.
• Read & create prints, review CAD 3D models, follow change management process and release into ENOVIA PLM system.
• Plans and conducts engineering reserach requiring judgement in independent evaluation, selection and adaption of the technology/product
• Applies an analytical approach to the solution of a wide variety of problems, or applies specialized techniques or ingenuity in selecting and evaluating approaches to unforeseen or novel problems.
• Demonstrates and applies engineering methods, research protocols
• Ensure internal & external stake holders requirements are understood and met on time.
• Performs reserach assignments under the guidance of Lead Engineer, Subject Matter Expert for complex problems.
• Designs mechanical components/systems like supercharger, air compressors as per the custome rrequirements. Build engineering design concepts, digital models in CAD, performs engineering calculations, defines analysis requirements such as FEA, CFD etc.
• Define design controls and perform tolerance analysis and stack-up calculations. Create & release engineering drawings with GD&T per PLM processes
• Apply DFSS tools, processes to practice robust design & engineering outcomes in supportive of delivering a quality product per IATF / EQMS requriements
• Work closely with CFT such as Subject Matter Experts, Mfg, Test Lab, CoE to progress engineering milestones and design maturity. Provides recommendation and/or conclusion for a reserach project to leadership team
• Deliver Business Model Canvas, Value Proposition Canvas to justify the business case to stake holders using Agile Tools
• Create minimum viable prototype build plan (technology demonstrator plan), establish alignment with stake holders and execute as per the plan
• Writes or assists in writing technology proposals for securing Government funding, joint Technology Development.
• Maintains currency of knowledge with respect to relevant state-of-the-art technology, equipment, and/or systems.
• Fosters innovation & creates IP while working on core research projects, contributes to innovation to commercialization.

QualificationsRequirement:

• Masters in Mechanical Design/Thermal Science
• 5-7 years hands on experience in design/development, research projects
• Experince with Engg dwgs ,CAD, basics of manufacturing processes & GD&T , CFD
• Ability to draw conclusions and make recommendations based on research data and findings
• Knowledge of engineering and/or scientific research principles, practices, and protocols.
• Ability to perform independent, original research in an advanced area of scientific expertise.
• Knowledge of advanced mathematical concepts.
• Soft skills : Excel, Powerpoint, CAD tools etc
