Job Description

Profound Knowledge of NAS and SAN technology on vendor products such as EMC & NetApp
Responsible for performing daily operational tasks and maintaining availability at the customer site(s). Provisions solutions based on standardized procedures as outlined by EMC best practice documentation.
Excellent troubleshooting skills with proven track record of successful incident management
Evaluate performance, monitor workloads, and analyze results to ensure optimal operations
Technical documentation including / configurations/ maintenance, test plans, procedures and process
Works closely with the customer on EMC Best Practices; ensures EMC solutions work as intended in the customers environment.
Advanced troubleshooting of common block/file protocols, including: iSCSI, NFS, CIFS
Configure and maintain storage infrastructure providing optimal availability, performance, and best practices
Participates in the design and operational execution of the customers disaster recovery process as required. Performs necessary storage infrastructure maintenance and necessary data migration, as required. Provides assistance to EMC technical teams in the development of custom solutions and implementation preparation
Replication sessions- Troubleshooting if any error encountered on the replication sessions. Establishing replication sessions for new sites.
Seeks advice or assistance from management and/or Technical Support as required during difficult customer situations. Works in conjunction with EMC colleagues to ensure effective resolution of technical issues encountered during implementations
Mentor junior staff
Good understanding of the Operating systems (Windows and Linux)
5+ years of relevant experienceSkillset:
Profound knowledge of VNX, VMAX, VMAX3, VPLEX, XtremIO, Centara and SRM along with CISCO.
Ability to work in a team environment.
Proficiency in hardware, software and/or operating systems environments.
The work environment is 24/7 rotating shifts and will cover weekends and weekdays.
Expert certification in relevant technology /product
