Job Description

    PRIMARY FUNCTION: 1. State the primary function or overall purpose of your position.The financial analyst will work collaboratively with Industrial Sector Finance Team at EC. The Analyst will oversee and execute processes necessary to plan, record, analyze and report on the financial conditions of the Sector. This person will also be significantly involved in the development of senior management presentations including finance, operations, and others as necessary Professional will also support Sector team in routine financial analysis & reporting as required. Assignments will include planned and ad hoc projects This position would be an Individual Contributor.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (Limit yourself to 8-12 statements) 2. List the essential functions (i.e. key responsibilities with expected end results), which must be accomplished in order to fulfill the purpose of your position as described above.A.Financial Analysis & Reporting for the Industrial Sector (including): Ownership of entire month close activities by preparing JE s and uploading in the system Gate keeper of month end numbers recorded in each activity center of Industrial Sector Preparation of Actual and forecast commentary package Analyze Operational metrics for monthly results and forecast Support in ARCS reporting for Sector Prepare dashboard for Account receivable, coordinate with Segment to collating information for the review Provide operational reports with detailed analysis Preparing a binder for Senior leader to review Actual and Forecast numbers Prepare various dashboard in Power BI Responsible for reviewing numbers for Sector on WD 3 Prepare meaningful variance analysis and communicate results Preparation of on-going monthly and periodic financial reports Support in Acquisition and Divestiture projects Support in preparation of annual profit plan and strategic plan initiatives Support and propose various initiatives to reduce complexity, standardize and improve efficiency of financial processes across Sector Coordinate, interpret and respond to ad hoc financial requests within the region Perform additional analyses as assigned.B. Work in a global team environment directly supporting the Industrial Sector and interacting with various controllers in the business locations.C.Quality culture Accuracy, attention to detail, and achieving deadlines are critical for success.3. Adherence to Timelines as per the statutory calendar with proactive planning and execution for the ledgers Utilizing ERP/Oracle/SAP/Power BI to utmost for reporting. Continuous improvements and streamlining of accounting and reporting processes with an aim to reduce time and effort. Analytical bend of mind Shift working Second (12.30-21.30) however needs to stretch beyond the shift based on the requirementsQualificationsSPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE: 5. Describe any specialized knowledge or skill (e.g., technical, scientific, administrative, managerial), which your position requires.Accounting major (B. Com) & CA/ICWA/CFA/MBA (Finance), preferable. Excellent Analytical skills to interpret Financial data, Written and oral communication skills. Manufacturing industry experience (pre-requisite). Proficiency with MS-Office particularly Excel, Power Point, Word and other reporting tools Working Knowledge of Business Intelligence Tools ORACLE, SAP, ENCORE, Power BI Experience with Oracle Financials and SAP preferred 10+ years of FP&A and accounting experience. Adaptable to varying cultures.ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: 6. Describe all other aspects of your position that you feel are important and which have not been adequately covered (i.e. unique problems encountered, special freedom to take action, critical outside contacts, exceptional working conditions etc.)Strong analytical and financial modeling skills with the ability to summarize findings and present solutions.
