Job Description

Position Type : Full time Type Of Hire : Experienced (relevant combo of work and education) Education Desired : Bachelor of Computer Engineering Travel Percentage : 0%About the teamThis FIS Product helps compliance officers cope with increasing data volumes, understand more sophisticated product risks, stay ahead of evolving regulations and rapidly respond to ongoing demands from auditors and regulators. This Suite of products helps firms meet their compliance and regulatory obligations from providing comprehensive surveillance for insider trading and market manipulation to assisting in supervisory controls and supporting management reporting.What you will be doingAs a team member on the product suite s market data solution, you will work with market leading exchange market data providers to develop, maintain and support high volume, low latency components and data hubs. You will be working with our clients and customer facing teams to analyze complex business and technical issues, put in performance improvements, and work on high volume data systems. You will get an opportunity to work with multiple products and businesses and develop a deep understanding of the interesting world of trading and compliance.What you bring:Knowledge / Experience

  • 7+ years of experience in design, coding and development in Financial Space
  • Experience programming in Big Data - Hadoop systems, specifically on SPARK and Scala
  • Strong experience in Core Java
  • Expertise on SQL is mandatory
  • Experience working with Python will be an added advantage
  • Experience working with high volume enterprise applications
  • Experience developing low latency and high-performance applications
  • Experience working in an Agile Scrum model
  • Experience analyzing complex order/trade flows, and converting complex functional and business requirements into design
Skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated expertise at working with technical and business experts from clients, including traders, compliance users and investment bank
  • Experience analysing and understanding functional requirements
  • Strong problem solving, debugging & analytical skills, ability to work independently with minimum guidance
  • Good team player
  • Self-motivated and self-learner
  • Ability to work independently, take ownership, lead and drive
  • Willingness to work across all areas of product life cycle, from requirements gathering to unit testing and application deployment
Qualifications
  • Bachelors in Computers Science or equivalent

  • Fluent in English
  • Excellent communicator ability to discuss technical and commercial solutions to internal and external parties and adapt depending on the technical or business focus of the discussion
  • Attention to detail and quality focus
  • Organized approach manage and adapt priorities according to client and internal requirements
  • Self-starter but team mindset - work autonomously and as part of a global team
  • Willing to travel occasionally (no more than 10%)
