    Job TitleSenior Site Reliability Engineer - StorageJob Description SummaryOverviewMastercard is searching for a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to join our rapidly growing Software Defined Storage team.The objective of Software Defined Storage is to utilize cloud native architecture to transform how our storage platform (Block, File, and Object) is distributed to and consumed by our clients within our internal cloud platforms. The ideal candidate would be an experienced Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) and Unix System Administrator with knowledge in Software Defined Storage architecture (Ceph, Commvault).ResponsibilitiesPerforms on the ground day-to-day support strategies to ensure high availability of Mastercard servicesImplements quality engineering best practices to deliver services and solutions that meet stakeholders needs (e.g., consumers, merchants, issuers, and governments)Provides highly reliable services and support that ensure optimal infrastructure performanceProvides guidance to less experienced team members on defined procedures and may supervise/coordinate work of support individual contributorsAnalyze service data to identify opportunities towards service improvement. Maintain a structured backlog of initiatives. Pursue backlog items in an agile manner, focusing rapid iteration and continuous delivery of work products.ExperiencesSuccessful track record performing moderate to complex troubleshooting and issue handlingParticipates in business resource groups and global communities (e.g., Tech Leadership Network)Experience implementing quality engineering best practices and gains experience mentoring new staffIndustry experience in Site Reliability Engineer (SRE), Unix System Administration (RHEL, CentOS, OEL), Storage Architecture (Block, File and Object) and Software Defined Storage (Ceph Storage, Commvault)Practical experience managing a large number of distributed systems using configuration management or software delivery platforms.
