Senior Software Engineer-2 Job Description SummaryOverview tData Governance & Regulations program helps Mastercard to comply with different privacy regulations across the world. tDGR Applications Development Team is a dedicated collection of self-organizing, interdependent, co-located individuals representing different functional roles with all the necessary skills to turn Product Backlog items into a potentially shippable increment within the Sprint. tTeam members may be developers, testers, analysts, architects, writers, designers and even users. The team is cross-functional, which means that between all its members they possess sufficient skills to do the work. There is no dictated leadership hierarchy within the team members.Role & ResponsibilitiesSoftware Engineer II is the one who develops software as per business requirements and demonstrates excellent technology skills. tDevelops information systems by designing, developing, and installing software solutions. tDetermines operational feasibility by evaluating analysis, problem definition, requirements, solution development, and proposed solutions. tDevelops software solutions by studying information needs, conferring with users, and studying systems flow, data usage, and work processes. tInvestigates problem areas. tFollows the software development lifecycle. tDocuments and demonstrates solutions by developing documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments and clear code. tPrepares and installs solutions by determining and designing system specifications, standards, and programming. tImproves operations by conducting systems analysis and recommending changes in policies and procedures. tProtects operations by keeping information confidential. tProvides information by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing development and service issues. tAccomplishes engineering and organization mission by completing related results as needed. Advanced knowledge and understanding of Software Engineering Concepts and Methodologies is required. Demonstrate MC Core Competencies. Strong communication skills -- both verbal and written and strong relationship, collaboration skills and organizational skills.
