These solutions address all segments of the hard disk drive (HDD) and solid state drive (SSD) electronics markets. Many of the same technologies have been utilized in Marvell storage system solutions products, powering PCs, servers, cloud, and enterprise systems.Responsibilities

  • Development, porting and debugging code for validation of memory controller and DDR PHY
  • Responsible for developing code for DRAM initialization
  • Evaluate parametric performance of DDR Subsystem
  • Responsible for optimizing the design and timing parameters by doing memory training and tuning and updating corresponding firmware settings for system stability, performance and compliance.
  • Assist in HW design and debug issues related to package and board design for signal integrity
  • Develop, review and execute entire test plans for pre and post silicon validation and characterization of DDR PHY and Controller.
  • Design, develop, execute and review tests and prepare test result documents to be shared internally/externally.
  • Responsible for silicon bring-up, investigating system DRAM issues and discovering workarounds
  • Work with Design, FW, and Validation teams to debug any issues found and find root cause on failure cases
Requirements:
  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related fields and 5-10 years of related professional experience.Master s degree and/or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related fields with 3-5 years of experience, in following domains Post-Si Validation, Stress & PVT testing. Pre-Si validation experience is a plus
  • Overall GPA of 3.5 or higher
  • Hands on experience with functional testing and characterization of DDR Memory Controller, DDR PHY and High-Speed IO interfaces. Experience in HDD, flash, semiconductor, components, nonvolatile memory industry is a plus
  • In-depth understanding DDR 2/3/4/5 protocol and JEDEC standards and timing diagrams
  • Must have good knowledge of DDR electrical parametric compliance specifications like eye diagram, differential signaling, jitter analysis, data and command setup/hold timing, Receiver-Jitter-Tolerance, signal integrity, transmission line considerations
  • Hands-on experience using bench instruments like sampling oscilloscopes, J-BERT, network / spectrum analyzers, signal generators, logic analyzers, etc.
  • Strong command of C, C, and/or Python.
  • Basic understanding of VLSI technologies, analog and digital integrated circuits.
  • Strong interpersonal, problem solving & debugging skills. Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Able to work across disciplines and manage time across several demands.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English
