Knowledge of COBOL, CICS, JCL, DB2, VSAM is vital to this role.What you bring:Knowledge / Experience

  • Extensive experience of software/service solutions delivered on a hosted and managed basis
  • Experienced with building/testing of complex, multi-platform, distributed applications
  • Knowledge of COBOL, CICS, JCL, DB2, VSAM
  • Experienced with all major development and delivery phases and activities
  • Knowledge of the financial services marketplace
  • Good understanding of Tools (Debugging / performance) is required
  • Has participated in the full spectrum of delivery activities on multiple development projects
Skills
  • An experienced, high caliber mainframe senior developer with good functional and technical engineering skills/ product knowledge.
  • Key suppliers to deliver change to agreed time, quality and cost parameters.
  • Knowledge of COBOL, CICS, JCL, DB2, VSAM is vital to this role
  • Exposure to Unix platform and scripting will be added advantage
  • Agile Scrum experience will be added advantage
Qualifications
  • Degree or equivalent
  • ITIL v3 Foundation or higher desirable
Competencies
  • Fluent in English
  • Excellent communicator ability to discuss technical and commercial solutions to internal and external parties and adapt depending on the technical or business focus of the discussion
  • Attention to detail track record of authoring high quality documentation
  • Organized approach manage and adapt priorities according to client and internal requirements
  • Self-starter but team mindset - work autonomously and as part of a global team
  • Willing to travel occasionally (no more than 10%)
