The Software Engineering Manager is responsible for overseeing a team regarding various software programs, databases and coding. Provides oversight on the design and development of software applications. Ensures that each process is completed efficiently, and that the proper analyses are being performed with the software.-General Responsibilities Manage the software systems development function, including the design, development, troubleshooting, and debugging of software programs for software enhancements and new products including cloud-based or internet-related tools Handle the development of software and software tools used for design, infrastructure, and platforms, including operating systems, compilers, routers, networks, utilities, and databases Manage the hardware compatibility and/or hardware design Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the functionExperience / Qualifications A university degree and 7-10 years of experience Ability to lead, coach, and develop team members Holds self and others accountable to achieving goals and standards Ability to work in a fast-paced environment to handle multiple competing tasks and demands Strong communication skills; oral, written and presentation Strong organization, planning and time management skills to achieve results Strong personal and professional ethical values and integrity Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel) Strong interpersonal & collaboration skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization including suppliers and/or external customers--SmarterTogether
