Job Description

Job Responsibilities

Is responsible for the creation and maintenance of documentation such as instructional guides, reference manuals, job aids such as systems and technical design templates, handbooks, reports, proposals, and brochures. Depending on the work environment, such documents may include various media, including written and video. May include maintenance of documentation library and oversight of special projects. Performs additional job duties as required.

Scope of Job

Is involved in the design and writing of highly technical documentation. Coaches other more junior level technical writers.

Job Requirements

3+ years of related technical writing experience. Bachelor s Degree or equivalent work experience and/or Certifications. Has expert knowledge of information systems elements (hardware, software, and network) and their application to written or video documentation. Has an understanding of the supported business function(s) and the corresponding technical strategies, benefits, risks, and costs that impact the business.
