Job Description

The Work Support, operation and maintenance of Core Network elements such as: HLR/HSS, STP, SBC, GGSN Support, operation and maintenance of VAS elements such as: IN(SCP), SMSC(SMSR), VoiceMail Support, operation and maintenance of charging system as OCS Performance Network management Capacity Network management 2nd line or 3rd line support troubleshooting for main services: voice, sms, data (mostly on roaming) by analyzing signaling protocols/logs using Wireshark analyzer Resolve customer issues based on SLA and follow-up ticket resolution using Jira System Customer implementations & changes Communicating with suppliers/customers for service creation and fault resolution Liaise with 3rd party suppliers to ensure that bug fixes/releases are delivered in a low impact manner Network monitoring using PRTG System Analyzing of problems and alarms through resolutions Daily check operations: network alarms and system log checks Generation of documentation for network changes and work procedures Requirement A minimum of 5 years experience as mobile network engineer in mobile telecommunications is a must Good general mobile telecommunications knowledge Hands-on and eager to learn Excellent communication skills Real business experience in the following: IP networks, GSM/UMTS/LTE/Volte and protocols like SS7 / MAP / CAP / SIP / GTP / SMPP / Diameter / AAA Proficient hands-on working knowledge with Core elements such us: HLR/HSS (Computaris, SUMMA), STP(NetNumber) SBC (Dialogic, Sonus), GGSN (Alcatel, NSN) Experience of supporting Charging System as OCS (Matrix) Experience of supporting VAS System as IN (Oracle), SMSR(Oracle), VoiceMail (Asterisk) Experience on specified vendors would be a plus Working knowledge with Networking elements such us Switches, Routers and Firewalls Knowledge on the telecommunication standards, analysis of 3GPP specifications Experience in a relevant 2nd and/or 3rd line support environment Very good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Real experience on troubleshooting voice, sms, data, roaming call flows Linux system administration skills would be a plus Appreciation of the importance of change management in an Operational Environment Ability to produce technical documentation No problem participating in an 24x7 on call duty for support of major incidents in the evening, night and weekend Bachelor s degree in telecommunications, IT, Computer Science, Programming or Business Informatics,
