Job Description

*Description

  • We are looking for a passionate, fully hands-on C#/.NET software developer to work with our global team. This position is based at Emerson Innovation Center Pune, involved in providing data analytics and business solutions to our global customers.
  • This position offers to work independently and as a part of a team to develop C# .NET Core based RESTful microservices which will run in desktop as well as cloud platform.
  • This position includes design and development of the of software features, working independently and in coordination with Solution Architect, SMEs and product manager to understand the requirements, and to develop C# .NET based RESTful Microservices.
, *Responsibilities
  • Develop C# .NET core and .NET Framework application
  • Develop secure RESTful microservices (REST - REpresentational State Transfer)
  • Develop application/microservices using Test Driven Development (I.e. TDD) approach
  • Develop Proof-Of-Concept applications and give demo to business leaders
  • Write well designed, testable, efficient code in C# programming language which is following coding standards and technical design
  • Work on agile team with focus on meeting individual and team commitments
  • Knowledge sharing sessions within team.
  • Assume additional roles and responsibilities as required and be able to work with minimal support
Basic Qualifications
  • Education:
    • Bachelor s Degree (B.E./ BTech) or master s degree (M.E / MTech) in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, Instrumentation or related discipline
    • Master s in Computer Science (M.Sc./MCA/MCS)
  • Experience: 5 8 years in Core Software Development
Knowledge & Skills
  • Strong proficiency and hands on experience in C# programming, and accessing database (SQL and SQL Server Compact [SQL CE]) through C# code.
  • Strong hands on working experience in design and development of secure RESTful microservices (REST - REpresentational State Transfer) using C# / .NET
  • Strong hands on working experience with .NET Core and .NET Framework
  • Strong experience in Object Oriented Design principles and design patterns
  • Web Services development
  • Working experience with TCP/IP, HTTPS protocol
  • Working experience with JSON document
  • Working experience with SQL and SQL Server Compact (SQL CE)
  • Knowledge of test-driven development
  • Proficiency with Visual Studio and Microsoft Team Foundation Server (TFS)
  • Strong debugging skills with proficiency in Visual Studio debugging features such as watch, threads, modules, memory view, disassembly view etc.
