And together, we help the automotive industry, businesses, developers, drivers, citizens and cities move towards a safe, autonomous world that is free of congestion and emissions.What you ll doThe Sr. Product Owner (Sr. PO) is responsible to build, shape and own the Product Roadmap by aligning with the Product Management Team. Further, using insights from the Analytics team, the Sr. PO is responsible to continuously fine tune the priorities for the engineering team to deliver on the mission of the Maps Product Unit (PU), to create better SD Maps in a cost efficient manner and with a quick turnaround.In this senior role, you will be expected to be the crucial link between the business stakeholders and the engineering teams, to articulate the product vision and priorities linked to the PU Maps vision and influenced by the dynamic competitive landscape! You will help the agile squads succeed in their mission by setting clear goals, effectively negotiating with stakeholders to ensure a well-groomed and prioritized backlog is maintained and being a champion for the squad(s).

  • Provide business context and clarity to the team;
  • Prioritize user stories by business value;
  • Help agile squad leads define the sprint scope;
  • Unblock the team;
  • Provide rapid feedback;
  • Review sprint deliverables and demonstrable product after every sprint, has the authority to accept or reject user stories;
  • As a champion for the team, provide progress reporting and communicate status outside the team;
  • As a key member of the team, responsible for most internal and external communications, promoting transparency, and radiating information;
  • Assist with validation and resolution of defects / bugs, especially those reported by external stakeholders;
  • Effectively represent, interface with and engage the business users on product requirements;
  • Research, analyze and collaborate to gain clarity for the team in ambiguous situations and help unblock the team to keep moving forward;
  • Work with stakeholders to influence business decisions and clearly communicate requirements through epics and stories, qualified with priorities based on business ROI;
  • Use clear goals to communicate the project vision linked to the product vision at the beginning of every release and sprint, so that the team understands and is equipped to realize it;
  • Create user stories and clearly document definition of done (acceptance criteria) to facilitate the team to plan logical units of work to be delivered in a sprint;
  • Collaborate with the Project Manager to actively manage project / program risks, come up with mitigation plans and clearly communicate those to stakeholders;
  • Drive sprint and release planning meetings and sprint demos and participate in daily stand-up meetings (scrums), retrospectives, and other Scrum-related ceremonies;
  • Actively manage stakeholder expectations and push back when required;
  • Maintain a balance between engineering and operations requirements, support engineering in reducing technical debts;
  • Actively look for improvement opportunities within and outside the team.
What we expect from you
  • Bachelor s degree in CS, Business Administration or equivalent field, GIS domain knowledge is a definite plus;
  • Total experience of 10 years or more in software development, product and project management;
  • Metrics driven approach to implement innovative ideas and has perseverance to bring them to reality;
  • Strong understanding of customer needs and focus on outside in perspective;
  • Accountability to drive timely and customer-oriented solutions;
  • Well versed with technology, latest tools and devops techniques to understand, prioritize and guide teams on technical non-functional requirements;
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills with thoughtful attention to detail;
  • Effective presentation skills with a keen understanding of tailoring content to suit diverse audiences (Internal, External, Management, Technical etc.);
  • Stretch mindset and ability to influence stakeholders, even those outside your immediate team;
  • Exceptional problem solving, diligent follow-through and logical decision-making;
  • Thorough understanding of Agile (Scrum, estimation techniques );
  • Top notch organization skills to create and manage product backlogs in a fast paced, dynamic environment;
  • Strong facilitation skills to conduct and drive sessions/workshops for idea generation, solutioning, product discovery, etc.;
  • Prior experience of working with distributed teams and partners is crucial for success;
  • A dynamic self-starter with the ability to work successfully in a global team;
  • Always accessible, visible, vocal and objective;
  • Flexibility to travel as needed;
  • International exposure preferred.
