  • Lead a small team of SDETs (Software Development Engineers in Test) to deliver testing of product enhancements and features.
  • Develop detailed understand the features/enhancements for the product including functional specifications and design with the perspective of performing automated and manual, white box as well as black box testing.
  • Assign tasks to team members taking into account their strengths, weaknesses and capabilities.
  • Prepare thorough feature testing plans based on development and feature completion milestones. Test plan should include API as well as UI based tests.
  • Apply best industrial practices related to Continuous Testing, CI/CD.
  • Leverage automation framework for automating feature tests and propose changes or enhancements to the framework for enabling new feature tests.
  • Collaborate with other teams, specifically the development team, to ensure timely and good quality delivery of features.
Experience:
  • Experience: 10+ years
  • Well versed with agile software development practices and processes.
  • At least 2 years of experience leading a team of engineers.
  • Good understanding in at least one or more of following technologies specifically related to data protection across Windows and UNIX/Linux environments:
  • a)Oracle: RAC, RMAN, ASM,Dataguard,etc.
  • b) MS SQL Server : Clustering,Always On Availability, Windows Failover Clustering,etc.
  • c) MS Exchange : DAG (Database availability group), Granular Mailbox Backup & Recovery technologies.
  • Good understanding and experience with - VMware vSphere/MS HyperV/Nutanix AHV, Storage basic concepts (FS/NAS/SAN), Jenkins, GOCD,etc.
  • Hands on with Amazon AWS EC2, S3, VPC setup, etc.
  • Excellent in Automation framework design and development in Python/Java/C#/Go/Ruby/Scala for component level, API and end-to-end System Tests using Acceptance Test Driven Development (ATDD) frameworks such as Cucumber/Robot/Specflow/Behave.
