Job Description

*Primary Objective of Position:

• Manage software development and test team
• Work in co-ordination with BU
• Provide technical mentorship to team
• Manage all project assignments and deliverables

Technical Skills required:

• Interact with various product/project management teams, marketing teams to develop the requirements for software modules. Validate the viability of each requirement.

• Convert the product specifications to software requirement specifications

• Project Documentation
• Handling release management, code versioning and back up.
• Should exerience in Emerson s NPD 3.0 Gate process & Agile process.
• Provide customer support globally and especially for field failures.
• Should be able to identify WBS and assign them to right team member.

• Strong programming knowledge of C, C++
• Strong experience in RTOS based system e.g. VxWorks, UCOS, Threadx, MQX.
• Experience in embedded databases such as SQLite.
• Strong experience writing Qt applications that target Linux and/or Windows 10.
• Strong experience in bootloaders such as U-boot.
• Device driver development knowledge.
• Hands on experience on various micro-controllers / multi-core processor based systems.
• Expertise in communication protocols such as Ethernet, TCP/IP, Modbus TCP, RS232, RS485, SPI etc.
• Experience in utilizing TLS encryption and authentication methods.
• Knowledge of industrial communication protocols such as EtherCAT, Profinet, Ethernet I/P, etc.
• Familiar with IDEs such as KEIL, IAR, Eclipse etc.
• Hands on experience with usage of JTAG debuggers, Emulators, oscilloscopes, function generators etc.

Other skills required:

• Familiar with version control tools such as VSS, SVN, CVS etc. Experience with RTC is a plus.
• Familiar with Work Item and Defect tracking tools such as Jira, Bugzilla.
• Experience in working with internal and external teams/vendors.

Experience:

• 10-20 years of experience in project and team management.
• Technically sound in embedded software development
• Effective verbal and written communication skills as well as good presentation skills
• Familiar with Agile and traditional software development lifecycle in a product development environment
• Prior knowledge about PLCs, DCS, MES systems and their programming would be an added advantage.

Education:Bachelors/Masters degree in Electronics/Instrumentation/Telecommunication/Computers Engineering required., *Primary Objective of Position:
