Job Description

  • 8-10 years of experience working in Agile Teams and playing the role of a Scrum Master
  • Effective facilitation of all Scrum ceremonies (Sprint Planning, Daily Stand Up, Backlog grooming, Scrum-of-Scrums, Sprint Review/Demo, Retrospective meeting)
  • Enable the team to identify and achieve the sprint goals
  • Remove impediments for the Scrum teams to they can progress
  • Ability to interact with team members across locations (US, NZ) for reviews, clarifications, design walk-throughs etc.
  • Help the team implement the actions identified during the Retrospective meetings
  • Work with the team to ensure Product Backlog is groomed for at least two sprints ahead, for effective planning of work
  • Help the teams in documenting, tracking, and communicating information about defects bugs, enhancements, analysis, and unresolved problems
  • Creating various status and progress reports and updates as required by the organization
  • Help the Product Owner by finding techniques for effective Product Backlog management
  • Enable the Scrum team to reach high performing state
  • Mentor and coach the teams to create high-value products
  • Ability to maintain and track sprint backlogs in tools like Jira, Version One, Rally, TFS etc.
  • Participating in knowledge sharing with other Scrum Masters in the organization to leverage the best practices, lessons learned, tools and other know-how to enable his/her own Scrum team to optimize its velocity and productivity
  • Must have led projects in agile using scrum, scrum of scrums, Kanban
  • Coordinate with the Development Lead/QA Lead, product Team to ensure problem resolution and customer satisfaction.
  • Strong ability to write technical documents, support requirements decomposition, coordinate working POCs and evolve to deployable code, ability to present designs to peers and Product Owner for approval, Deep understanding of all lifecycle components (code, test, deploy)
