We are looking for the rare individual who has a passion for precise language and enjoys communicating clearly and effectively through written media. We create product user guides, reference manuals, application notes, collateral, online training, tutorial videos and online help for our broad line of customizable SoC products.As Technical Communications Manager for the Tensilica IP group, you will lead a team of technical editors and manage documentation development. You will work with the developers and content authors, to edit, assemble and maintain documentation, and documentation flows. You will develop processes and work flows. Working with others in the Tensilica documentation and engineering teams, you will improve the quality of our documentation and enhance our productivity.Requirements Strong project management experience.Experienced in planning concurrent projects and meeting deadlines Have excellent technical writing and editing skills Be proficient with a variety of documentation tools such as FrameMaker, MS Word, Oxygen XML, MS Visio and Adobe Acrobat Skilled at developing DITA-based documents and XML Strong understanding of topic-based authoring and reusable information architecture Attention to detail Meet project-specific requirements by consulting with global cross-functional product and engineering teams Organize technical reviews and seek feedback from internal reviewers. Analyze and prioritize technical feedback from various audiences and drive necessary changes into documentation Familiarity with Confluence, Atlassian and bug filing tools Experience with managing software documentation, IP, DSP and hardware documentation a plus Minimum of 5-7 years of experience as a Technical Writer and EditorRequires BE, BTech or greater in relevant technical fieldWriting samples required We re doing work that matters.
