Job Description

Software Test & Validation EngineerESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Debugs software products through the use of systematic tests to develop, apply, and maintain quality standards for company products.
  • Develops, modifies, and executes software test plans, automated scripts and programs for testing.
  • Analyzes and writes test standards and procedures.
  • Maintains documentation of test results to assist in debugging and modification of software.
  • Analyzes test results to ensure existing functionality and recommends corrective action.
  • Consults with development engineers in resolution of problems.
  • Provides feedback in preparation of technical appraisals of programming languages, systems, and computation software.
  • Ensures quality computer integration into the overall functions of scientific computation, data acquisition, and processing.
  • Contributes to the definition and timely achievement of overall project goals.
  • Participates or leads in efforts to define new components, products or processes.
  • Identifies and solves technical challenges.
  • Participates or leads cross functional technical teams.
  • Assures experimental quality through sound, independent, experimental design.
  • Provides technical direction and feedback to others.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Formal Training/Education:
  • BE degree in computer science, science or engineering
Experience:
  • Minimum of four (4) years directly related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Demonstrates success for technical proficiency, engineering creativity, collaboration with others and independent thought
  • Expert knowledge of engineering principle and concepts
  • Develops and uses company design practices as applied to projects
  • Understands and applies industry practices and benchmarks
  • Uses company practices for SW integration and test at the expert level
