Job Description

*UEM (Unified Endpoint Management) SME Workplace Technology Solution Engineering TeamProfile:The UEM SME role is accountable for building and supporting Unified Endpoint platform in Syngenta. It is also expected from this role to contribute in transformation from legacy client management platform (SCCM) to Modern Desktop management platform.Responsibilities:

  • Act as technical expert on Endpoint Manager platform. Good understanding of SCCM is a plus.
  • Design, implement, and manage enterprise Endpoint Manager environment
  • Manage Windows OS deployments, application packaging & distribution and re-imaging at a global scale using modern deployment services (e.g. AutoPilot)
  • Knowledge of Automation capabilities of SCCM and Endpoint Manager using APIs & Scripting
  • Create, maintain and troubleshoot OS deployment task sequences
  • Monitor and test application performance for potential bottlenecks, identify possible solutions
  • Perform analysis and diagnosis of complex problems
  • Prepare HLD & LLD, process and technical documentation
  • Participate in Design, plan and implementation of Syngenta Modern Desktop solution
  • Provide improvement opportunities and recommendations
  • Perform tool evaluation and produce recommendations
  • Work with Product Lead, Regional IT Teams, OEMs, vendors, partners and service providers
  • Provide training to operations team (L1/L2)
  • Learn and keep up-to-date with the latest technology products
, *Technical Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Endpoint Management architecture and design
  • Good knowledge of SCCM architecture & operations, OSD, Task Sequencing, Application Packaging is added advantage
  • In-depth knowledge of windows server operating systems (2012R2, 2016, and higher), desktop operating systems (Windows 10), driver deployment, support library, application dependency, Active Directory, Group Policies
  • Strong analytical skills for solving technical issues, isolation of application / network performance / server / storage issues
  • Excellent knowledge on Windows Autopilot, Desktop Analytics, Microsoft Defender and Azure Active Directory
  • Excellent in PowerShell scripting
  • Good understanding of M365 offerings
Soft Skills:
  • Ability to communicate in English effectively both verbally and in writing
  • Proven ability to document technical information for training, technical operations run books, and knowledgebase
  • Ability to create technical design documentation using MS Visio
  • Proven ability to work cross functional with application, network, security and workplace teams
  • Strong understanding of all current technologies and ability to ramp quickly on emerging technologies.
  • Proven ability to work on multi-vendor network, security, compute and virtualization technologies
Education / Qualification:
  • BE / B.Tech in Computer Science / Information Technology or MCA from a reputed university.
  • Knowledge of Agile and DevOps ways of working would be an advantage
