Job Description

What will you be doing Key accountabilities of this role will be aligned but not limited to:

  • Key specific accountabilities:
  • Facilitating and Driving Incident, Problem and Change management.
  • Work closely with engineering team to adapt and implement best practice and innovative solutions for security tools.
  • Participate and Deliver security Projects within timeline.
  • Managing Vendor Service.
  • Maintaining Capacity Planning for Infra.
  • Document technical Processes and Procedures.
  • Preparing Service Vision.
  • Ensuring issues are managed within agreed SLA/SLT
  • Manage email queries and ticketing systems
  • High Level Knowledge on information Security tools and well versed with Risk Management.
  • Ability to multi-task, ability to think laterally and to have input to / propose detailed, complex solutions to technical issues
  • Train team members on the processes and procedures
  • Support and management of system outages via the published major incident management process
  • Act as a L3 member escalation point for any issues faced by the L2 team.
  • Strong analytical and investigation skills. Ability to resolve issues in a high-pressure and time critical environment
  • Perform post-release start-of-day checks as appropriate
  • Ability to work effectively in a close-knit team as well as independently
  • Managing Service Management BCM activities end to end
  • Monitor and make sure incidents/problem logged with Vendors are resolved within agreed Service Level Agreement
  • Participate in the measurement and reporting of inception of new tools and expansion of existing tool scope on a monthly basis
  • Liaison across business and users to resolve users support issues
  • Compliance to audit, regulatory and CSO Standards requirements risk aware and focused
  • System stability monitoring
  • Application & server restarts
  • Problem escalation and ownership to resolution from customers
  • Change and Release Management
  • Process and Procedure knowledge base maintenance
  • Has intensive interaction with subordinates through coaching and mentoring
  • Communicates and drives daily team and individual metric performance
  • Responsible for identifying skill gaps and having a robust training plan in place for advisors to maximise their performance

Technical Skills
  • Strong communication both verbal and written in English

  • Knowledge on Cloud computing, AWS etc
  • Service-First ticketing tool
  • Operating systems - Unix, Linux, Windows servers
  • Database Management Systems, Web Servers
  • An understanding on IT Security applications
  • Logic/structured troubleshooting
  • SQL & Database Knowledge
  • Java, JDK, shell scripting etc
  • Intermediate Network knowledge.
  • ITSM/ITIL (i.e. Change/Incident)
What we re looking for:The candidate has a strong technical delivery background with recent experience of Endpoint Security toolsets, preferably including Symantec. The candidate also has a solid background in Information Security principles and controls.
  • Proven customer service/ liaison skills in dealing with clients and customers at all levels including difficult and demanding stakeholders.
  • Able to quickly absorb and assimilate large amounts of technical and business information to identify the most appropriate course of action to ensure consistent quality
  • Able to work effectively in extreme high pressure situations where critical service availability is compromised and/ or Barclays reputation is at stake
  • Fully competent in using audio and video conferencing facilities
  • Exceptional written communication skills; ability to write ad-hoc and formal reports. This will assume a detailed working knowledge of all Microsoft Office Tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio etc)
