Role : Database Administrator Location : Vadodara / Baroda Reporting : Senior DBA / Team Manager Experience : 4- 9 Yrs About Role : You will be part of a team which has full responsibility for all database aspects of the Exchequer application. The existing database function complements our core Exchequer development team. You will have the drive to focus on continuous improvement, helping to define DBA best practices and initiatives to improve quality, performance and maintainability with a strong focus on customer satisfaction and usability. You will have the opportunity to work with an energetic team, using agile development methodologies and technologies such as Delphi, C , C# and Microsoft SQL Server. Skills/ Requirements Responsibilitie : Work on all key database activities. These may include:- Planning and updating the default database field structure based on business requirements for scheduled releases Ensuring that the database is working to maximum efficiency by using indexing or otherwise Developing database maintenance, backup and restore plans Writing highly optimised and efficient stored procedures Fixing defects in and developing new versions of the company s Analytics module incorporating a Data Warehouse and use of Integration Services Writing and testing scripts to update database for application releases Giving proactive input to the team during the system design process . Experienced : Expert in SQL Server 2008 general database administration SQL Server optimization, performance tuning and scalability A good understanding of SQL CLR. SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS), SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and Service Broker advantageous Significant commercial experience programming/ scripting with SQL Server, preferably in a financial environmen Advanced concepts such as business intelligence (BI) strategy, including reporting cubes is desirab C# programming experience desirable.,
