JobDescription : The Team Responsible for operational and QA processes required to build and maintain a complete database of U.S. oil and gas well header, completion and production information. This includes normalizing enriching and preparing the data for use within products. The processes will strive to continually improve the quality of the data as measured by the data s accuracy, completeness, timeliness and consistency across company databases. This individual will also work with state and federal regulatory agencies as well as third party sources to research customer data questions and for overall data quality improvement of company s E&P database. Responsibilities Develop and maintain processes that ensure the quality and reliability of oil & gas upstream data in company products Act as the subject matter expert for all oil & gas upstream data primarily in completion and production domain Establish the general requirement for QA specifications and standards for data and associated processes Responsible for ensuring the quality, consistency and integrity of data in a timely, effective and reliable manner Analyze completion and production data to identify areas for improvement in the existing data collection processes Work and maintain relationship with O&G Regulatory Agencies for data acquisition and data quality assessment purposes Work closely with Products team to plan and implement data quality improvement projects Answer and research customer related inquiries around data reliability and quality, provide feedback and steps towards resolving data quality issues. Conduct sampling procedures for recording and reporting information quality Conduct periodic process audits for the information processes and facilitate Root-Cause analysis Work closely with IT to develop test specifications and build test cases to rigorously test data quality and investigate all potential issues for O&G data Recommends areas for improvement in existing data transformation processes and ensure that newly acquired data is quality checked and enriched Manage the processes to track data quality over time, measure data timeliness, accuracy, consistency and completeness Works with technical resources to make improvement in the data transformation processes as needed. Ability to multi-task and work in a team environment, while following flexible schedule to meet deadlines. Ability to retrieve, interrogate, manipulate and analyze data and presenting findings Interest in technology as a means to visualize, interrogate and report data Proficient in using Microsoft Excel Highly organized and structured worker with ability to work on multiple tasks at same time Experience working with SQL data querying and analysis Preferred: Knowledge of business intelligence tools for analyzing datasets - Power BI, Tableau desired, but not essential Experience of working with Python/R is an advantage Basic Qualifications: Graduate or Post graduate candidate having background in Oil & Gas, Upstream, Energy, Petroleum Engineering and Geosciences Minimum and Preferred Experience: 1-3 years of experience,
