Job Description

  • Responsible to ensure utmost safety and security for the patients, visitors and employees.
  • Responsible to study the patient traffic flow and suggest ways for improving/ regulating the patient/visitors traffic in the hospital.
  • To lay down protocols and procedures wherever necessary and ensure their implementation to regulate the patient traffic.
  • Responsible to handle theft cases or any security-related problem within the hospital premises.
  • Responsible to lay down fire protocol, Evacuation Plan, Bomb Threat or any Natural Calamity.
  • Responsible to lay down a man power plan for deployment, coordinate with the Security Agency and ensure deployment of Security Personnel as per the manpower plan.
  • Responsible to recruit, select and employ security personnel in the coordination with Agency.
  • To go on rounds daily and check security personnel with regard to their discipline and turn out and also to brief/groom them for the specific postings and ensure their availability.
  • To visit Apollo Centers at least twice a month and monitor the security arrangements of the center in coordination with the Hospital Administrator.
  • To ensure that good industrial relations are maintained between the Security personnel and other employees of the Hospital.
  • Responsible for the fire safety of the hospital and ensure that all precautionary measures are taken to avoid any fire accident within the Hospital campus.
  • Responsible to obtain all statutory documents like Fire License from the Fire Department.
  • Training Of Security Personnel/ Employees
  • Responsible for developing modules and conducting training programmers for the security personnel in areas of grooming, customer care. Firefighting action to be taken in cases of internal/external disasters and discipline.
  • Responsible for developing modules and conducting training programmers for employees on fire safety and firefighting and internal/external disasters. Impart special training to Fire Marshals and form Fire Fighting Team.
