Job Description

    Role DescriptionThe position is that of frontline technologist who is specialized in concrete. The objective of the role is to support overall businessobjectives by conducting trials in prospective sites and taking primary responsibility to convert the sales lead by providingtechnical solutions to clients. The role would involve extensive travel to sites. The incumbent would also be responsible forgrowth and penetration of admixtures products in project sales segments in defined geography through lead conversions andbuilding relationship with various stake holders like RMCs and contractors.Primary ResponsibilitiesBusiness objectivesConduct site level customization to admixture formulations to meet the performancerequirements of client.Test the above formulations for the desired test parameters.Prepare samples of the finalized formulations to the client for their evaluation.Technical AssistanceFormulating specialized concrete designs like self compacting concrete, precast concreteetc.Provide technical assistance pre and post sales at the project sites related to AdmixturesproductsUndertake on-site sampling for Admixture products to buildcustomer confidenceMarket DevelopmentBuild long term relationship with the identified set of stakeholdersthrough on-site assistanceBuild relationship with the site QA/QC In charge to generatebusinessMarket IntelligenceSuccessful site conversionspost samplingPre sales and post salestechnical support and queryresolutionCollection and Analysis of samples of competition products to driveimprovements in our productsAssist Marketing function in conducting product trials and buildinginferences on APL product strength vis--vis products in the marketIdentify non-APL business stakeholders and take measures toconvert to APL account through product demonstration initiativesIntegrate with Research and Technology function for new productdevelopment based on feedback of product trends in the marketKey InteractionsInternal Marketing, Research and Technology, Project Sales, Services and Retail teamExternal Dealers, Applicators, Contractors, Builders, Architects, Consultants,Engineers, Government agencies, RMCs
