JobDescription : Division : S&P Global Department : Content Management & Operations Office : Ahmedabad , India (S&P House) Description He / She will be responsible for accurate , complete , and timely collection of GIS data. Responsible for the day - to - day maintenance of the information tracked by the respective departments. Utilizes editing and analytical tools within GIS software to create and edit mapping layers. Job Responsibility Captures comprehensive information on the data tracked by GIS Department. Keeps up - to - date in knowledge of content sets. Builds industry knowledge. Provides input and ideas for new collection methods and product enhancements related to the covered content sets. Reviews feedback involving their content to help correct errors and establish or refine procedures and processes to improve accuracy. Keeps up - to - date on industry trends and reporting standards. Troubleshoots problems or issues and provides meaningful feedback to co - workers. Education : Equivalent of BA or BS in Geography & / Masters or equivalent degree in Geo - Informatics. No prior work experience is required however; prior knowledge of GIS tools and systems is highly preferred. Strong oral and written English skills required.
