Job Description

DescriptionThe Supply Chain Services Specialist performs remote (e-mail, telephone etc.) support services offering advice and consultancy support on the interpretation of standardised Supply Chain processes and plans to business areas as well as transactional activities. Spanning activities such as catalogue administration; data verifications, analysing failures and routing them accordingly for resolution and other Supply Chain transactions using Supply Chain Management (SCM) systems and tools. Typically reports to the Supply Chain Services Manager.#_VOISJob Responsibility

  • Should have data science skills (Python, SQL R programming) and should be able to understand the core functionality of tool and perform the scenario modelling based on our business needs
  • Evaluate and Uses appropriate tools such as Network Optimisation toll (e.g. Anylogistix, Llama soft, Blue Yonder, OMP Plus, 4 flow vista), Transport management systems (TMS), Freight Collaborations, Global Track and Trace etc to optimise operating cost.
  • Responsible for driving and implementing optimised warehousing and logistics networks, governance and continuous improvement opportunities in Warehousing and Transportations.
  • Responsible for Route optimization that can ultimately improve service to our customers and lower overall freight costs.
  • Responsible for transport load optimization (TLO) in terms of load planning, with a view to reducing transportation costs, increasing operational efficiency, and speeding up the loading and unloading of transportation units.
  • Drive Forward & Reverse logistics strategy to deliver Logistics best practice to improve cost base, operational service performance and customer experience.
  • Uses judgement based on functional knowledge of Warehouse and Transport Operating model and is expected to resolve problems by identifying and selecting solutions through the application of acquired technical experience, including: Use of methodologies to systematically define the Route and Network strategy in local markets / Regions and maximising OTIF (on time in full) at lowest Operating cost;
  • Helps to identify process improvement and optimization opportunities, defining best practices and ensuring SCM processes complement one another and deliver value.
