1.In-depth knowledge of SolidWorks 3D CAD software 2. Extensive knowledge of metal fabrication processes 4.Understanding of current cutting tool technology 6. Ability to plan, schedule, coordinate and problem solve effectively.1. Assisting production team/ engineering staff in the design and development of systems and components. 2.Interfacing with engineering staff effectively to ensure the form, fit and function of designs while also working with HOD Production to ensure cost effectiveness and manufacturability of designs. 3. Collaborating with the engineering staff to produce design sketches and drawings in accordance with applicable standards.4.Accurately incorporating all design symbol like geometry, welding symbols and tolerances into design drawings.5. Reviewing and verifying design drawings and other technical documentation prepared by others to ensure correctness and accuracy in form, fit and function. 6.Using specialized design software to create models and drawings of products.7.Researching new materials and methods of development.8.Organizing and maintaining existing engineering records.9.Performing physical testing on engineering prototypes. 10. Ensuring components and assemblies adhere to applicable industry and business standards. Considering cost, effectiveness and safety of new designs
