Job Description

    Position: Design Jr. EngineerLocation: Ahmedabad, Pirana Road Openings: 1Qualification: Diploma in Mechanical EngineeringExperience: 1 to 2 yearsSalary: Up to 3 LPAKey Responsibilities:3D Modeling & 2D Drafting:Create and modify designs using CAD tools (preferably SolidWorks; also AutoCAD, Creo, or SolidEdge).Design Support:Assist senior engineers with component design, layouts, and standard part selection.BOM Preparation:Create and maintain accurate Bill of Materials (BOM) using ERP systems.Engineering Calculations:Support basic stress analysis, tolerance stack-up, fits, and clearance calculations.Drawing Interpretation:Understand GD&T and ensure drawings meet ISO/ASME standards.Documentation:Prepare design documents, test reports, and maintain traceable records for all design activities.Cross-Functional Collaboration:Coordinate with production, quality, and procurement teams for design feasibility and improvements.Software Proficiency:Develop skills in CAD tools and learn simulation tools (e.g., ANSYS, Fusion 360) as needed.Quality & Standards:Ensure compliance with safety, performance, and quality standards; familiarity with lean principles is a plus.Skills Required:Strong understanding of mechanical engineering fundamentalsProficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks preferred)Analytical thinking and problem-solvingEffective communication and team collaborationWillingness to learn new tools and processesBasic ERP knowledge (SAP is an advantage)
