Job Description

An Electrical Technician with a specialization in induction systems and PCB repair is a technical expert responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining electrical components and circuit boards in various applications. This includes servicing induction heating systems, motor drives, and electronic control units, often found in industrial, manufacturing, and high-tech environments.Such technicians combine electrical expertise with precision repair skills to ensure the efficiency and reliability of sophisticated electronic systems.Key Responsibilities1. Induction System Expertise
• Perform installation, testing, and maintenance of induction cooktopused in industrial applications like Hotels
• Troubleshoot and repair issues in induction heating power supplies, coils, and associated control circuitry.
• Calibrate induction systems for optimal performance and energy efficiency.
• Analyze thermal imaging and power efficiency metrics for preventive maintenance.
2. PCB Repair and Maintenance
• Diagnose faults in PCBs using tools such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and multimeters.
• Repair damaged PCB traces, replace faulty components (e.g., capacitors, resistors, ICs), and re-solder connections using precision equipment.
• Identify and replace defective SMT (Surface-Mount Technology) or THT (Through-Hole Technology) components.
• Perform PCB modifications, such as jumper wiring or layout corrections, as needed for repairs or upgrades.
3. Troubleshooting and Diagnostics
• Use specialized testing equipment like LCR meters, signal generators, and thermal imaging cameras to identify faults in electrical and electronic systems.
• Isolate problems in induction systems and PCBs, whether hardware or software-related, to minimize system downtime.
• Interpret electrical schematics, circuit diagrams, and PCB layouts to guide repair and diagnostic efforts.
4. Installation and Integration
• Install and configure electronic components, including power supplies, sensors, and control systems, in industrial and commercial setups.
• Ensure proper electrical and electronic integration between induction systems and other automated machinery.
• Test and verify the compatibility of repaired PCBs with overall system architecture.
5. Preventive Maintenance
• Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of induction systems to prevent overheating, coil failure, and electronic malfunctions.
• Implement PCB cleaning and protective measures to extend the lifespan of components.
6. Documentation and Reporting
• Maintain detailed records of diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance performed on induction systems and PCBs.
• Create technical reports with recommendations for component upgrades or replacements.
• Develop maintenance schedules and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for induction and PCB-related systems.
Skills and CompetenciesTechnical Expertise
• In-depth knowledge of induction heating principles, including electromagnetic field generation and thermal management.
• Strong understanding of PCB design, assembly, and repair techniques, including SMT and THT.
• Proficiency in handling ESD-sensitive (Electrostatic Discharge) components during repairs.
• Familiarity with automation systems, microcontrollers, and embedded systems programming is a plus.
Diagnostic Skills
• Ability to trace faults systematically in complex electrical and electronic systems.
• Proficiency in using advanced diagnostic tools, including multimeters, oscilloscopes, and spectrum analyzers.
