They will work on multiple projects using internal and external resources to deliver quality products that meet our customers needs. Involved in all facets of development including requirements specification, validation, verification, and deployment. Responsible for product quality and reliability along with feature completion. Here s where you ll demonstrate your proficiencies:
• Embedded system firmware development with specific focus on Linux and real time, embedded systems.
• Developing sophisticated, sustainable, firmware solutions for critical substation monitoring and diagnostic requirements.
• Version Management and traceability
• Work with teams across the organization including customers for technical assistance.
• Supports development team and provides needed pre-qualification and verification testing. Ensure compliance to all regulatory needs for the product and business
• Support product transition to mass manufacturing and support sales and support teams, post release, to timely meet customer needs.
• Use Scrum Agile Methodology for software development and continuously improve engineering processes.
Skills & Experience The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience:
• Bachelors or Masters in Electrical / Electronics Engineering, Computer Science or similar.
• Microcontroller/Microprocessor based architecture definition, design, and support (High Speed Serial IO, Embedded Processor).
• Proficient in DSP programming. Familiar with use of Matlab.
• Extensive Linux and experience writing and implementing real-time data acquisition, scheduling and design applications.
• Expertise in Embedded C/C++ development in a real-time, multi-threaded environment.
• Hands-on experience in programming different peripheral interfaces like UART, I2C, SPI etc.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for root cause determination and issue resolution. Flexible towards changes in priorities and a focus on results.
Preferred Skills:
• Knowledge of unit test frameworks for Linux and programming experience with device drivers.
• Experience in fault location, fault recording and/or power quality.
• Knowledge of Cyber security implementation, Continuous Integration and Deployment.
