    R&D and Innovation Head- A leading Consumer Durable IndustryIndustry - Consumer Durables Category - Operations Skills - R&D, research, consumer durable, white goods, innovation, design, product development, Ahmedabad Heading R&D for a leading Indian Consumer Durable MNC and supporting national and international projectsClient Details :Our client is and Indian MNC and a market leader in the household appliance market. They are looking for R&D and Innovation Head to devise the long term product vision for the organization and who can lead the R&D function. The role will be based out of Ahmedabad.Description :Reporting into the respective CEOs of International and Indian market, and also managing a R&D team, you will be responsible for : - Providing leadership for the design and development function in terms of planning, performance, and teamwork.- Designing innovation features and cohesive products using insights from analytics, have an eye for details, customer feedback, internal brainstorms, and focus on user results and business goals. Also, Conducting market visits for gaining insights on the current scenario in the market- Gaining a deep understanding of products value proposition, within the context of the company vision and strategies.- Developing, Designing and Developing Plan for the product ranges in line with organisation Goals and working closely with Sales and Marketing team for developing product innovation concepts / ideas as per consumer and market need.- Existing as well as emerging technologies and applications through an understanding of customer and business needs and also by analyzing and evaluating competition, and bench marking.- Selecting material for design and developing moulds through external agencies.- Finalizing of BOMs, design release packages and process documentation, technical clarification of design and production issues to responsible departments- Focusing on delivering customer success; track new trends, and capabilities to drive innovation within the organisation- Preparing both operating and capital budgets for design and development function in line within set directives.- Ensuring ISO 9001 certification, product certification requirement as per various international standards and the Design, Product patent / trademark registration.Profile :- Ideally you are a mechanical engineer with atleast 15 years of over all experience and atleast 5 years of experience in head of the design and development function for a leading appliances and white goods organizations.- You should have lead multiple product design and development projects for India and international market. You should have knowledge of the design soft wares - CAD / 3D Modelling / CAM, photoshop, coral draw. You should know design registration, patent process, moulds and designs and PLM. You should have a terrific track record in leading teams and should be ready for a challenging assignment.,
