Job Description

    Education Qualification:7-12 years of surfacing experience with Autodesk Alias or ICEM Surf in a top tier, preferably production environment. Class A or production experience (Bonus points or experience in two wheeler industry) Degree in Automotive or Industrial Design or Engineering degree. An understanding of visualisation software, Catia or Grasshopper is also beneficial Bonus points for cross-cultural design experience. Strong portfolio to be presented and defended during the interview.Desired Candidate:Extensive automotive product, concept and component design experience in style sensitive environments.Ability to build and lead a team of CAS modellers and engineersProficiency in surfacing, detailing, modelling and packaging using Autodesk Alias or ICEM Surf in preferably production environments.Good understanding of ergonomics is an added advantage.An understanding of the design and validation processes for vehicle components and systems.A working knowledge of component manufacturing tooling requirements and lead times.Hands-on experience in plastic parts design (Dog house, clip tower, snap fits,welding bosses etc) is an advantage.Knowledge in various manufacturing processes like Injection moulding , Blow Moulding, Extrusion moulding, casting etc.Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.Job DescriptionDrive the digital modelling capability for various automotive and consumer products from kick-off to launchDevelops new concepts, product ideas and strategies for Matter products based on vision, market forecasting and industry standards.Build a team of Digital Modellers and Studio Engineers to to form an interface between design and engineering and layer through different stages of product design and development.Establish modelling and delivery standards for CAS and Class A surface preparations.Support multi-disciplinary team in developing designs, drawings, and process documentation.Creation of master section for product design and development.Design verification by independent prototyping.Perform feasibility studies for fabrication, assembly, machining, or processing.Coordinate project work with other engineers, technicians & designers.Prepare presentations of active projects for R&D teams.Establish continuous improvement plans where efficiency, quality, safety, or service can be improved.
