Job Description

    Job Title: Maintenance ManagerLocation: Sanand GIDC , Ahmedabad(Gujarat)Experience: 5 YearsDepartment: MaintenanceReporting To: Plant Head / Operations ManagerRole OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager with 5 years of expertise inElectrical and Mechanical maintenance within the Sheet Metal and Machining industry. Thecandidate will be responsible for ensuring maximum equipment uptime, preventivemaintenance planning, breakdown analysis, utility management, and continuousimprovement of plant machinery and infrastructure.Key Responsibilities:Mechanical Maintenance:
    • Manage maintenance activities for CNC machines(CNC Turning/Laser
    • Cutting/Laser Welding/CNC Press Brake), Press Machines, Hydraulic & Pneumatic systems, Welding machines, Compressors & utility equipment.
    • Plan and execute preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance schedules.
    • Analyze machine failures and implement corrective and preventive actions.
    • Ensure availability of critical spare parts and inventory control.
    • Monitor machine performance, MTTR, MTBF, and downtime reduction initiatives.
    • Coordinate installation, commissioning, and relocation of machinery.
    Electrical Maintenance:
    • Handle electrical systems including PLCs, control panels, drives, motors, transformers, and LT/HT systems.
    • Troubleshoot electrical faults and ensure quick restoration of machines.
    • Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards and statutory requirements.
    • Manage power consumption and energy-saving initiatives.
    Team Management:
    • Lead and supervise maintenance technicians, electricians, and fitters.
    • Allocate manpower effectively across shifts.
    • Train team members on troubleshooting and preventive maintenance practices.
    • Maintain discipline, safety, and productivity within the department.
    Maintenance Planning & Documentation:
    • Prepare preventive maintenance schedules and maintenance checklists.
    • Maintain machine history cards, breakdown reports, and spare records.
    • Coordinate with production teams to minimize downtime.
    • Implement TPM, Kaizen, 5S, and continuous improvement activities.
    Safety & Compliance:
    • Ensure adherence to safety norms, ISO standards, and company policies.
    • Conduct safety audits and risk assessments for maintenance activities.
    • Ensure proper calibration and compliance of equipment.
    Education
    • Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
    • 10 years in maintenance operations in Sheet Metal and Machining industries.
    • Experience in automotive or fabrication manufacturing plants preferred.
