Job Description

    We have an opening for Metal Lab Engineerour client in Kheda.Job Title:Metal Lab EngineerLocation:[Kheda]Job Type:[Full-time]Job Summary:We are seeking a skilled Metal Lab Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in metallurgy and chemistry, with experience in spectroscopic and microstructural testing. This role involves ensuring the quality and integrity of metal products through rigorous testing and documentation.Key Responsibilities:
    • Metallurgical Testing:Perform spectrochemical analysis and microstructural examination of metals and alloys to ensure compliance with specifications.
    • Chemistry Maintenance:Oversee the maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment. Conduct routine chemical analyses to assess material properties and quality.
    • Documentation:Prepare detailed reports and documentation for all tests and analyses, maintaining accurate records in compliance with industry standards.
    • Continuous Improvement (CI):Implement and support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance laboratory processes and procedures.
    • Sand and Graphite Casting (SG Casting):Collaborate with the foundry team on SG casting processes, providing metallurgical insights to improve product quality and yield.
    • Quality Control:Ensure that all materials meet regulatory and safety standards, participating in internal and external audits as necessary.
    • Team Collaboration:Work closely with production and engineering teams to troubleshoot issues and provide solutions related to material performance.
    Qualifications:
    • Bachelors degree in Metallurgy, Materials Science, Chemistry, or a related field.
    • Proven experience in a metallurgical lab or foundry environment.
    • Familiarity with spectroscopic techniques (e.g., ICP, OES) and microstructural analysis (e.g., SEM, optical microscopy).
    • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
    • Excellent documentation and communication skills.
    • Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean) is a plus.
    Preferred Skills:
    • Experience with casting processes, particularly in SG casting.
    • Proficiency in laboratory management software and data analysis tools.
    • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
