Job Title: Night Security Officer (Executive), Administration Reports to: Manager Security & Administration About Ashoka University: Ashoka University is a pioneering university in India, providing an interdisciplinary liberal education on par with the best universities in the world. Role and Responsibilities: The Security Officer - Administration oversees the day-to-day and long-term operations for the department of the University. He will lead by example as a self-motivated, result-oriented individual for building a culture of service excellence. This is an exciting and challenging role that ensures Ashoka University maintains its iconic infrastructure and values service quality. The role comes with the following responsibilities: Identify and report unauthorized persons inside university buildings after dark Provides security for the students, visitors, staff and employees and safeguards the property by immediately responding to requests and emergency Maintains alertness for unusual or abnormal conditions or suspicious activities. Observes unauthorized persons and takes appropriate action, notifies supervisor or police. Inspect and secure exterior and interior of buildings. Ability to maintain control under stressful situations and deescalate situations. Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate in English. Perform security duty at an assigned post and/ or perform security patrols by vehicle or on foot of buildings and grounds with particular emphasis on security and safety violations. Prepare incident reports, monitor security cameras and access controls and require visitors to register in/ out in log books. Secure and maintain all University property. Maintain necessary supplies of report forms, log books, and access control sheets for the shift. Perform other related security tasks as designated by the Security Manager Perform related work as required. Promotes and displays positive behaviour attitude, professionalism towards all University staff, students, parents, visitors, outside agencies, and contractors. Maintains a high level of confidentiality of records and information about staff, and use discretion when sharing any such information within legal confines. Monitors and operates security surveillance and facility security equipment. Eligibility: (Education & Experience) - Graduation at a minimum - 10+ years of relevant work experience Skills sets required: - Computer Literate - Framing & Implementing of security policies - Compliance management - Investigation of incidents and preparations of reports - Fire safety management - Emergency preparedness - Access Control Venue of work: Ashoka University Campus, Rajiv Gandhi Education City, Rai (District Sonepat).
