Job Description

Sourcing and Purchasing:- Develop and implement procurement strategies to source solar materials, components, and services cost-effectively and within the required timelines.- Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.- Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with suppliers to secure favorable terms and conditions.2. Supplier Management:- Manage relationships with key suppliers to ensure timely delivery and quality of materials and services.- Conduct supplier performance evaluations and implement improvement plans where necessary.- Develop and maintain a preferred supplier list and manage supplier database.3. Inventory and Logistics:- Coordinate logistics and inventory management to ensure optimal stock levels and timely delivery to project sites.- Monitor inventory levels and forecast demand to avoid stockouts and excess inventory.- Manage transportation and warehousing of materials, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.Quality Assurance:1. Quality Control Processes:- Develop and implement quality assurance and control procedures to ensure materials and services meet project specifications and industry standards.- Conduct inspections and tests on incoming materials and during the production process to verify quality and compliance.- Maintain documentation and records of quality control activities, test results, and corrective actions taken.2. Supplier Quality Management:- Establish and enforce quality standards for suppliers, including conducting supplier audits and assessments.- Collaborate with suppliers to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions.- Monitor and report on supplier quality performance, addressing any non-conformances promptly.3. Continuous Improvement:- Identify opportunities for process improvements in procurement and quality assurance activities.- Implement best practices and industry standards to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve quality.- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to optimize procurement and quality processes.4. Regulatory Compliance:- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, standards, and company policies related to procurement and quality assurance.- Stay updated on industry regulations and standards, incorporating changes into procurement and quality practices.5. Risk Management:- Identify and mitigate risks associated with procurement and quality assurance activities.- Develop contingency plans to address potential disruptions in the supply chain and quality issues.
