Job Description

    * Details:
    • Provide in vitro Biology target screening support to small molecule drug discovery and development projects from various global customers.
    • Understand and implement new experiments as per Customer requirement to answer in vitro Biology query to support small molecule drug discovery and development projects.
    • Attend Customer call to understand the requirement, propose study design and costing details.
    • Investigate, guide team to develop, validate or optimize existing and new methods pertain to biochemical, biophysical and cell-based assay platforms for screening NCE s OR solving project related scientific issues.
    • Ensure robust and high-quality assays with efficient use of automation and instrumentation.
    • Work closely with biology groups viz. GPCR, Kinase, MOA and ADME teams, offering integrated targeted therapies drug discovery support alongside chemistry and support functions for multiple client-based projects.
    • Role encompasses team due diligence to ensure compliance to project goals and deliverables as per project demand.
    • Actively involved in literature review, verification of protocols, data and report, assurance of correctness and completeness of developed assay/data generated against standards/NCE s.
    Key Job Responsibilities:
    • Strong experience of working with small-molecule drug discovery from a CRO/Drug Discovery company with an ability to efficiently handle time-bound and service-based projects. Should have strong technical knowledge with exceptional attention to detail.
    • Understanding of basic molecular biology, cell biology and biochemistry experiments will be an advantage.
    • Broad research experience in cell-free and cell-based assay development viz. Fluorescent Imaging Plate Reader (FLIPR), TR-FRET/HTRF, Fluorescence Polarization (FP), absorbance, Luminescence/ Electrochemiluminescence (ECL), Alpha Screen, Dissociation-Enhanced Lanthanide Fluorescent Immunoassay(DELFIA ), NanoBRET, Flow Cytometry, high content imaging and Live Cell Analysis. Knowledge on Surface Plasmon Resonance (SPR) technology will be an advantage.
    • Experience working with board target classes -e.g. enzymes, GPCRs, transporters, ion channels, surface receptors, etc. across different therapeutic areas.
    • Experience in High Throughput Screening and Assay Development.
    • Strong experience in miniaturization the assay from 96W to 384W to 1536W format for both cell-free and cell based assays.
    • Knowledge in the generation of stable cell lines required for cell-based assay development and screening
    • Administrative roles: Strong in Literature review, recruiting man power, team training, support manager in budgeting YOY for the growth of the department.
    • Excellent data analysis and interpretation skills. Ability to participate in project team meetings and contribute to the project(s) intellectually.
    • Curiosity, energy, creativity, and bravery with a strong desire to help to build the healthy culture at organization
    , *MSc/PhD with around 5 years of work ex.
